Our mobile apps sometimes need access to functions and information on your phone. The apps only ask for the access required to work. We are unable to view the data on your phone.
Mobile applications and accesses
Mobile banking asks for access to
- the camera, e.g. if you take a picture of a receipt to report misuse of your card. You can choose not to allow access and the rest of the app will work normally.
- view network connections, in order to use the network, and hence the Internet.
- the internet, for the app to be able to send and receive data to and from our servers.
- vibration control, so the phone vibrates if you enter the wrong PIN during login.
- prevent the display from going to sleep, so the screen does not lock while you are using mobile banking.
The one-time code app asks for access to
- the phone, i.e. the phone ID, to prevent fraud (Android only). Android
requires you to say Yes for the app to work. - view network connections, in order to use the network, and hence the Internet.
- the internet, for the app to be able to send and receive data to and from our servers.
- prevent the display from going to sleep — so that the screen does not lock while you are using the app.
- use fingerprint hardware, so you can use your fingerprint in the app
- ask permission to send notifications (iPhone only) – so the one-time code app can be opened directly in the BankID process. You can choose not to give access and the app will work properly. You have to locate and start the one-time code app manually instead.
Spink asks for access to
- messages; the app needs access to your messages, as the one-time code is sent to you by text.
- your contact list, so you can enter your parents’ phone number (and ultimately for payment).
- the internet, so you can use mobile banking via the web.
- the camera/photo album, so you can add your profile picture to the app.
Spinn asks for access to
- your location, so the app can send roadside assistance to your location if the user wants this
- save and read from your phone; this is to be able to save your driver score on your own phone
- the Internet, so your phone can transfer driver scores to SpareBank 1
Bluetooth, so that driver data can be transferred from the car to your phone
Nettmøte asks for access to
- the camera, so we can see each other
- the microphone, so we can talk
The share app asks for access to
- the internet, for the app to send and receive data to and from our servers
Vipps asks for access to:
You can decide whether to give Vipps access or not, but be aware that the app will not work as intended if the accesses are turned off. Android requires you to approve all or none.
Vern asks for access to:
- the camera, to see your surroundings and use AR (augmented reality)
- the microphone, to test smoke detectors
- the Internet, to transfer image data for analysis at Google Cloud Vision
Spått asks for access to:
- the microphone, to set up device via audio signal (only if standard solution does not work)
- the Internet, to receive data and notifications from the smart battery and/or smart sensors
